Potential NHL realignment. 4 divisions, top 4 teams from each division make the playoffs. Two rounds of divisional playoffs. Division champions get seeded 1-4, have a four-team playoff for the Stanley Cup. During the season, each team plays a home-and-home with every other team. Honestly, this is the best plan ever. You need approval from 21 teams. I’d be so happy. We’ll know sometime Tuesday. Other potential plans: Wholesale Detroit-for-Winnipeg swap. Still have Home-and-Homes. Detroit moves East. My preferred plan if we can’t get radical realignment: Wholesale Columbus-for-Winnipeg swap.
